“Give Jeans A Chance” at Volcom
All Volcom is saying is “Give Jeans A Chance.” The campaign is part of the popular American clothing company’s “Give Back Series” that reaches out to the community and asks for donations for the homeless.
At the end of 2009, Volcom partnered up with the National Coalition for the Homeless to help with its “Give Jeans A Chance” program, in which nearly 100 stores across the continent put out donation bins to collect jeans for the homeless in their hometowns.
According to Volcom, more than 5,000 pairs of jeans were collected and donated to 50 local homeless shelters across North America. Volcom’s current “Give Jeans A Chance” program is underway through September in more than 1,000 stores around the world, including the Volcom locales on Maui in Lahaina on Front Street and at the Whalers Village locale on Kā‘anapali Parkway. They are collecting as many jeans as possible to donate to Maui homeless shelters.
