"Pono My family observes the Golden Rule. I believe in karma and practice Buddhism. As an adult, I read Benjamin Franklin's autobiography that professed the benefits of being good and true, which really spoke to me. All my life, the concept of 'living pono' surrounded me, but it wasn't until I moved to beautiful Maui that I truly understood its significance. We're on a small island in the middle of a huge ocean. We have to get along, respect and care for one another. And I think as a global community, whether it's letting someone merge into traffic, or granting civil rights to all individuals, no matter what their personal orientations may be, doing what is right is right. Live pono." Email
