Fontaine gets the job done

November 1, 2012
Gregory P. Lussier , The Maui Weekly

George Fontaine is highly qualified to represent South Maui in the state House.

He has served the community in documented projects over the three decades, in which he worked in Maui County. Anyone can look up his record with Rotary International's humanitarian projects, Hale Kau Kau's feeding the hungry program, his service as a Hale O Maui board member to find solutions for affordable housing, and as the founder of the Kihei citizens patrol. He is a compassionate, competent and dedicated to public service.

Rep. Fontaine has an impeccable attendance record in the House. He worked with Sen. Roz Baker to get the Kihei High School process moving forward. Working with bipartisan cooperation--as all legislators do to get things done--is not a negative, but rather a powerful positive for any lawmaker.

As a retired captain in the Maui Police Department, he is known for his competency and dedicated service, earning the endorsement of SHOPO, the police union.

Keep this very good man in office.
