A recent Hawai'i Tourism Authority report states that the total scheduled seat capacity to the state is expected to climb 9.4 percent during the first quarter of 2013, in comparison to the same period last year. Domestic air seats are expected to increase 9.3 percent and international air seats by 9.5 percent. Double-digit increases in air seat capacity from the U.S. East, Other Asia and Oceania markets are expected to significantly contribute to the first quarter growth in scheduled air seat capacity to the state.
