9th Life Hawai'i, Maui's largest, nonprofit, no-kill Cat Rescue & Sanctuary, will hold spay/neuter clinics on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 19 and 20; Wednesday, Jan. 23; Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 26 and 27, and Wednesday, Jan. 30.
"To date, we have sterilized more than 5,021 cats," said 9th Life Hawai'i CEO Phyllis Tavares.
"These clinics are open to all cats--owned, abandoned, feral--even those cats that just showed up at your door for a handout," said Tavares.
Through its ongoing clinics, 9th Life Hawai‘i has sterilized more than 5,021 cats.
However, 9th Life clinics do not sterilize pregnant cats.
Sterilizing male cats should stop them from spraying, fighting and wandering.
Cat fights are the number one way that cats get serious and sometimes deadly diseases.
Volunteers will pick up cats at designated points on Maui, bring them to the sanctuary for surgery and return them to the pickup locations later the same day.
A minimum donation of $35 is suggested; however, services are free in hardship cases.
Call 573-3365 and follow the instructions or email firstname.lastname@example.org for a surgical consent form.
