On Saturday, Feb. 23, from 3 to 5 p.m., Dick Nelson, will present a seminar entitled "Color, Light and Space," at the Schaeffer Gallery at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
"We communicate, one to another, in numerous ways," said Nelson. "Whether it is written, spoken, visualized, put to music or dance--both the author and the audience share a common language, and that language has a structure or grammar. Visual literacy is no exception, and the "Color, Light and Space" seminar will introduce an inventory of many concepts related to all three of these visual elements. Knowing our options frees us from being prisoners of our own ignorance."
The Art Maui nonprofit organization strives to promote, encourage and recognize excellence in the visual arts. For more information, direct inquiries or questions to email@example.com or visit www.artmaui.com.
