Warrior Elite All-Stars Bring Home Gold & Cash

It was a memorable day for Maui's Warrior Elite All-Stars"Cheerleading Club as they captured top honors in the Youth Level 1 (ages 8 to 12) and Junior Level 2 Divisions (ages 9 to 14) at the "Contest of Champions 2013 Nationals" competition held recently at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at DisneyWorld in Orlando, Florida.

A total of 45 teams from all over the U.S. participated with five teams in each division.

In addition to garnering first-place in both divisions, the Warrior Elite All-Star girls were also presented with $1,000 check for the highest team score (youth division) as determined by the panel of judges.

"It was an exciting day for the girls, their parents and families," said Head Coach Cyn Los Banos, the team was right on their marks and represented Maui with great poise, ability and spirit!"

The Warrior Elite's coaching team also includes are Chante Diaz and Jen Galicinao.

Youth Level 1 team members are Kaumaka Johnson, Jhennesy Galicinao, Karina Nakanishi, Behlye Laferriere, May Molina, Kamryn Vinoray, Adriane Manuel and Annalyn Hatfield.

The Junior Level 2 Team includes Karina Nakanishi, Behlye Laferriere, May Molina, Kamryn Vinoray, Adriane Manuel, Annalyn Hatfield, Tatiana Galicinao, Bryeana Laferriere, Kalee Bacongco, Malie Wickes, Jayda Robia, Kleina Ramos, Anuhea Doran and Opu Barretto.

The victorious Warrior Elite Cheerleading squad returned to Maui on Wednesday, March 6.
