May 2, 2013
The Maui Weekly

Kihei Fourth Friday Town Parties (KFFTP) have become instrumental in bringing tourists, residents and independent businesses owners together in a fun, friendly, family-oriented an event that offers something for everyone.

The monthly events bring an enhanced sense of community to Kihei.

"Residents are proud to be part of the diversity of their community as showcased monthly," said KFFTP Volunteer Chairperson and Logistics Coordinator Gylian Solay.

"Tourists experience Kihei as a thriving community of people who live and work together," said Solay.

In March, students from Minnesota's Habitat for Humanity spent their spring break on Maui in service to the Kihei community as volunteer for that month's KFFTP.
