The Arts Education for Children Group presents Jazz Maui 2013, a celebration of America's original musical art form, featuring instructional workshops for students and performances by visiting and local professional jazz musicians.

Jazz Maui takes place Monday, July 1, through Sunday, July 7, at various venues on Maui.

Jazz Maui 2013 will host the entertainment with an lineup featuring trumpeter Jim Seely (top) and saxophonist Peter Brainin (center) of the Arturo O’Farril Latin Jazz Orchestra live from New York, The Gene Argel Latin Band, The Louis Romanos Quartet from Louisiana, and award-winning pianist Tommy James (bottom) of the Duke Ellington Orchestra.

The Ritz Carlton, Kapalua Maui Resort will host a concert fundraiser on Saturday, July 6, for the newly named Malama Maui Nui; formerly, Community Work Day Program. In conjunction with Arts Education for Children Group and Jazz Maui 2013, the concert will feature a phenomenal lineup of headlining jazz musicians, a visual and live performance by artCORE Maui (the co-producers of Maui's last three ArT=Mixxs), an incredible silent auction, environmental education, and a native and edible plant sale.

The event will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. in the Ritz Carlton Pavilion.

Tickets are $25 for adults.

Attendees will be immersed in the new Malama Maui Nui, and the ways we can all care for our environment.
