The golden voice of Tony Bennett will be heard in the Castle Theater again soon, as this vocal legend returns to the Maui Arts & Cultural Center (The MACC) for one evening only on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 7:30 p.m.
Bennett has been a mainstay in the music business for decades, transcending time and genre to leave his mark in the world of pop, jazz and rock continually reinventing himself and delighting fans anew.
He is known as a "singer's singer." In fact, none other than Frank Sinatra has famously stated that "Tony Bennett is the best singer in the business."

Bennett has sold over 50 million records worldwide and won 17 Grammy Awards (his signature song, "I Left My Heart In San Francisco," won two Grammy Awards) and the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented in 2001, as well as two Emmy Awards. He has been named an NEA Jazz Master and a Kennedy Center Honoree.
According to The New York Times, part of the Bennett magic is "his ability to convey a sense of joy, of utter satisfaction, in what he is doing."
