August 22, 2013
Maui Weekly

Did you know Kihei has its very own fine art studio, showcasing its very own local artists?

Just beneath Cafe O'Lei in Rainbow Mall, Maui Fine Art & Frame will celebrate its one-year anniversary with a party on Saturday, Aug. 31, from 4 to 8 p.m. Many of the artists showcased at Maui Fine Art & Frame will be there to talk story and answer questions. The event will also feature live painting, live glass blowing and live music.

Chad Paranto, Maui Fine Art & Frame owner and framer, is excited to mark the success of this critical first year of his new business, "and also to celebrate all the wonderful artists who've made this year a success."

Maui Fine Art & Studio owner Chad Paranto will celebrate the one-year anniversary of the studio on Saturday, Aug. 31, from 4 to 8 p.m.

There's a lot of beautiful art at this studio, including oil paintings, metal art, watercolor paintings, hand-blown glass, photography and high-quality gicle prints.

Maui Fine Art & Frame's artists--most of whom live in Kihei--highlight the beauty of Maui.

There's something for everyone, from high-end, exclusive, swanky pieces to more affordable art for Kihei's many condos. There's also jewelry and smaller take-home pieces for travelers wanting a Maui remembrance.

Paranto has been framing art for more than 20 years, and he still does custom framing--including for other studios on the island. Apparently, he also serves up the best crating and shipping rates around.

"I like making people happy with art," Paranto explained. "Art makes people happy, and when we find the right piece, it can change their day--and maybe their life."

Come mix and mingle!

The gallery is located at 2439 South Kihei Road, Ste. 115A.
