Maui Crime Stoppers Reports Crime of the Week

This week, the Maui Police Department and Maui Crime Stoppers ask for the public's assistance in identifying the person responsible for taking a wallet containing cash and identification from a physically handicapped male.

On Sept. 16 on the Kahului bus loop, an adult, local male physically restrained a handicapped male and stole his wallet containing cash and identification. Detectives obtained surveillance photos from the Maui bus showing the local male wearing a white iFox t-shirt.

Anyone with information concerning the identity of the person in the attached surveillance photos is asked to contact Maui Crime Stoppers at (808) 242-6966. Neighbor Island residents can call 1 (888) 242-6966 toll-free.
