"The missionaries who came to the islands developed the Hawaiian alphabet with 13 letters," said KCA President Mike Moran. "This month's Kihei Community Association (KCA) public meeting will examine a lot of letters beyond our KCA."
KPAT, KHAT, WDNA, SMCP, NW, UBRA and MADC are acronyms for several local community action groups of volunteers with varied purposes or missions. On Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 6:30 p.m., the public is invited to hear from representatives of these organizations and find out what they are and how they contribute to the community.
"Why not stop in to see if one of them is working on a matter of your concern," said Moran.
