Now playing through Saturday, Oct. 27, ProArts presents "Bermuda Avenue Triangle," the hilarious off-Broadway hit comedy written by Renee Taylor and Joseph Bologna, as the first show of its fall season at ProArts Playhouse in Kihei.
Two widows, Fannie and Tess, are set up in an upscale Las Vegas retirement condo by their career-oriented daughters. Trapped by years of unhappiness, Fannie weeps and Tess does nothing but complain. But that all changes when the two ladies cross paths with a charming scoundrel named Johnny Paolucci, who rocks both their worlds. Fannie and Tess undergo a grand metamorphosis from being two, unhappy, complaining biddies into a pair of glamorous golden girls.
The moral of the story: "There may be snow on the roof, but there's still fire in the furnace."
(Left to right) Sharyn Stone, Scott Newman and Barbara Sedano star in Bermuda Avenue Triangle.
The show plays Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. through Sunday, Oct. 27. Kama'aina nights are scheduled for Oct. 17 and 24 with a discount for Hawai'i residents.
The ProArts Playhouse is located in the Azeka (Makai) Shopping Center at 1280 South Kihei Road in Kihei. Purchase tickets by calling 463-6550 or visit www.proartspacific.com for more information.
