Hawaiian Haberdashery’s Brandon Blair is part of a movement that hopes to revive traditional Hawaiian woodwork.

"I'm just doing my part in keeping the Hawaiian culture alive," said Blair. "But perpetuating is not enough--we must stay relevant."

Blair incorporates contemporary art influences into his traditional Hawaiian woodwork pieces. The results are almost "haunting," as faces from the past transcend time and seem to emerge in his pieces. With deep roots and generations of skill refinement, Brandon's rare vision makes his traditional work integral to modern day culture.
