Matson presented a check for $9,500 to Maui United Way's 2013-2014 campaign, adding corporate support to the $12,000 in donations made by their Maui employees earlier this year.
"Matson's Maui operations team has demonstrated an extraordinary increase in support for the needs of Maui's health and human service charities, thanks to the leadership of employees Donald Dudoit, Kam Chun and Buzz Fernandez," said Laksmi Abraham, president/CPO of Maui United Way. "MUW is overwhelmingly grateful for the caring support Matson's employees offer, as well as the company's contribution, which allows us to provide much needed support to those in need, here on Maui."
Matson Terminal Operations Manager Kam Chun added, "Matson's involvement with the MUW underscores our commitment to the communities that we serve. Speaking on behalf of my colleagues, it's an honor and privilege to touch so many lives in such a positive way!"
