Fleetwood @ The MACC

Enjoy and intimate, larger-than-life talk story and music event.

June 30, 2014
Maui Weekly

Legendary drummer and Maui resident Mick Fleetwood returns to the Maui Arts & Cultural Center (The MACC) for an encore performance of his immensely popular concert experience--Fleetwood @ The MACC. This will be similar to the rave-review event held in early 2013, but with all new material and inclusions! This intimate, yet larger-than-life music event will take place in the Castle Theater on Thursday, July 10, at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for the concert will be available to MACC members first, on Friday, June 27, at 10 am; tickets will be available to the general public on Thursday, July 3, at 10 a.m. Ticket prices are $49 and $69 for reserved seating, and $149 for premium seating and the "Rock Star" package, which includes a VIP pass for entry to the behind-the-scenes hangout area with Fleetwood after the show and an autographed poster.

This is a Maui aloha send-off for Mick before he joins the 2014 Fleetwood Mac World Tour. It is also a concert experience like no other! During the first half, the audience is invited to get comfortable with Fleetwood, founder of the legendary Fleetwood Mac band, award-winning drummer and Maui restaurateur. In a living room-style setting on stage, Fleetwood will talk story about his world travels, behind the scenes antics, musical influences, and his new life as an entrepreneur, and invite questions from and interaction with the audience. This is an unparalleled chance to hear the real life behind-the-curtain stories.

For the second half of the show, Mick will be joined on stage by the Grammy-nominated Mick Fleetwood Blues Band, featuring Rick Vito on guitar and vocals, Lenny Castellanos on bass and vocals, and Mark Johnstone on keyboards and vocals. (It is also quite possible that other special guests and friends of Mick may jump in onstage.) This band harkens back to the bluesy years of early Fleetwood Mac, but will also delight the audience with new sounds and rhythms.
