Upcountry Rotary Club to Hold First Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser

Prize offerings include $10,000 for hole-in-one winner!

The Rotary Club of Upcountry Maui and title sponsor Hawaiian Solar Juice, 3D Builders and Design's photovoltaic division, will hold "Going Green on the Greens," the club's first annual golf tournament fundraiser, on Saturday, July 26, at Pukalani Country Club.

Proceeds from the golf tournament will support the club and its continuing commitment to "green" projects and scholarships for Upcountry Maui high school students.

The tournament format is an 18-hole, four-person, shotgun-start, best-ball scramble. The fee for a single entry is $100 in advance; $120 at the door. A two-player team pays $200 in advance; $240 at the door.

The price of entry includes the green fee, shared cart, "swag" bag, continental breakfast, box lunch, awards presentation, snacks and ice-cold refreshments on the course.

The grand prize for the best team score is four rounds of golf at the Ka'anapali Kai Golf Course, an overnight stay for two at the Westin Maui Resort & Spa, an overnight stay for two at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa on Ka'anapali Beach, and $50 certificates for Hula Grill Ka'anapali, Leilani's on the Beach, Kimo's and Duke's Beach House.

Golfers will also vie for a $10,000 cash prize sponsored by Rodeo General Store in "Going Green on the Green's" hole-in-one contest!

Players may purchase Mulligan tickets at $5 a piece (limit two per player).

Players can also enter the putting contest for a shot at a shiny new iPad.

The tournament also includes a longest-drive contest and closest-to-the-pin contest--both with fabulous prizes.

Even the highest scoring team comes away with a prize!

Check-in and breakfast begin at 6 a.m. The putting contest will be held from 6 to 7 a.m., with the tournament's shotgun start beginning promptly at 7 a.m.

The awards ceremony, lunch and door prize drawing will immediately follow the tournament.
